Madhav Filtcare & Hydraulics is a Filter Assembly Manufacturer in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, providing complete hydraulic and lubrication filter assemblies for industrial applications. Our range includes simplex and duplex filter assemblies designed for reliable contamination control in hydraulic oil, lubrication oil, fuel and process-fluid systems.
Based in Maninagar, Ahmedabad, and active in the filtration industry since 2011, we build and supply filter assemblies to plants Across All over India and Overseas customers. Every assembly can be fitted with paper, glass fiber, or stainless steel wire mesh elements depending on the level of filtration your system needs.
What Is a Filter Assembly?
A filter assembly is the combination of a filter housing, a filter element, and supporting hardware such as end caps, seals, and a differential pressure indicator, that together clean fluid as it moves through a hydraulic, lubrication, or process circuit. The housing holds the element in place and forces fluid through it under pressure, while the element itself traps particles down to a specific micron size. Without a properly sized filter assembly, contamination builds up inside the system and accelerates wear on pumps, valves, cylinders, and bearings, which usually shows up later as unplanned downtime and expensive component replacement.
Simplex and Duplex Filter Assemblies
Most filter assemblies fall into one of two categories, and choosing between them is really a question of how much interruption your process can tolerate.
A simplex filter assembly uses a single housing. It is compact, economical, and easy to service, and it suits applications where the system can be briefly shut down or bypassed while the element is cleaned or replaced.
A duplex filter assembly uses two housings connected by a changeover valve. When one housing becomes loaded with contaminant, the valve redirects flow to the standby housing so the loaded element can be serviced without stopping the system. This design is common in continuous process plants such as power stations, steel and cement plants, and petrochemical units, where even a short stoppage can be costly.
Madhav Filtcare & Hydraulics manufactures both configurations across two core product lines. Pressure Line Filters use a cast body and suit medium pressure hydraulic circuits. Fabricated Filters use a welded body and suit high flow, continuous duty applications. A quick comparison of the two is below, and each has its own detailed specification page.
| Feature | Pressure Line Filters | Fabricated Filters |
|---|---|---|
| Body Construction | Cast | Fabricated (Welded) |
| Working Pressure | 40 Bar | 25 Bar and 100 Bar |
| Flow Range | 10 to 1800 L/min | 150 to 4000 L/min |
| Connection Size | 1/2 inch to 2 inch | 1 inch to 4 inch |
| Typical Use | Medium pressure hydraulic circuits | High flow, continuous duty lines |
Filter Assembly Construction and Filtration Media
Filter assembly bodies are available in cast or fabricated construction, in mild steel with a corrosion resistant surface coating, or in full stainless steel on request. Each assembly can be fitted with one of three filtration media, chosen to match how clean your fluid needs to be.
- Paper elements for nominal filtration and economical, use and throw operation
- Stainless steel wire mesh elements for nominal filtration that can be cleaned and reused
- Glass fiber elements for absolute filtration in critical, high precision circuits
All assemblies are manufactured and tested to standard hydraulic norms. Working temperature typically ranges from minus 10 degrees Celsius to plus 100 degrees Celsius, and element collapse ratings start at 30 Bar as standard, with 60, 160, or 330 Bar available on request for circuits that need a higher differential pressure rating.
Applications of Industrial Filter Assemblies
We supply filter assemblies to power plants, cement and steel plants, sugar mills, petrochemical and oil and gas units, paper mills, plastic processing units, engineering and machine tool manufacturers, and automobile component makers. Our client base spans Ahmedabad’s GIDC estates, including Vatva, Naroda, Odhav, and Vastral, along with Sanand, Changodar, and other industrial belts across Gujarat.

Frequently Asked Questions About Filter Assemblies
The filter assembly is the complete unit, meaning the housing plus the element plus hardware. The filter element is the replaceable part inside the housing that actually traps contamination. You install the assembly once and then replace or clean the element on a maintenance schedule.
Choose simplex if your process can tolerate a brief stoppage for element service, or if budget and installation space are limited. Choose duplex if your process runs continuously and cannot be interrupted, since it lets one housing keep filtering while the other is serviced.
Yes. As a manufacturer, we build filter assemblies to the connection size, working pressure, and filtration media you specify, rather than only offering fixed catalog sizes.
Yes. Our workshop is based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and we supply filter assemblies across the state as well as to clients in other parts of India.
We offer paper elements for nominal filtration, stainless steel wire mesh elements for reusable nominal filtration, and glass fiber elements for absolute filtration in critical applications.
