What Are Paper Filter Elements?

Because the media cannot be washed and reused, paper elements are a use and throw type, replaced once they reach the end of their service life.
How Paper Filter Media Works
Paper media is a depth filtration material, which means particles are captured throughout the thickness of the pleated paper rather than only on its outer surface. This gives the element a reasonable dirt holding capacity for its cost, though the fineness it can achieve is limited compared with glass fiber media.
